Although we love our protein pancakes here at Neat, it's time to give the spotlight to another one of our favorite breakfasts - French toast! This recipe is low in sugar and contains a healthy dose of protein, whilst still tasting like the epic brunch dish we know and love. 

 

Protein French Toast

 

METHOD:

In a large, shallow bowl, whisk together your egg with milk, protein, cinnamon and sweetener - if adding - until smooth. Soak both sides of your bread in the mixture, leaving it for a couple of minutes.

Whilst this soaks, heat a small amount of oil or butter in a frying pan on a medium heat. Once hot place your soaked pieces of bread in the pan, pouring any extra liquid on top. 

Fry the bread on both sides until golden brown and crisp on the outside and soft in the middle. Serve with berries and maple syrup or any other toppings of your choice!
