Apple crisp doesn't have to be just for dessert; when it's made with the right ingredients, it can also a warming and indulgent-tasting way to start a winter day. The only problem with this apple crisp recipe made with our vanilla vegan protein? It'll make you never want to eat a normal bowl of oatmeal again!
METHOD:
Preheat your oven to 350f.
Chop up 1 medium apple and place in a pan with a couple of tbsp's water, 1 tsp cinnamon 1/4 tsp ginger, a pinch of salt and 1 tsp of sweetener if using. Cook on a medium heat, stirring regularly until the apples start to soften.
Whilst this is cooking, mix together the oats, flaxseed, protein, milk, maple syrup and an extra 1/2 tsp cinnamon.
Once the apple has softened, place them in a small oven-proof dish and top with the oat mixture. Place in the oven for about 10 minutes, or until the top has turned brown.
Enjoy with a spoonful of yoghurt and some fresh fruit.
