The short answer? Yes!

When talking about protein requirements, it's usually stated as grams of protein per kg of bodyweight per day. So, a 70kg male with a requirement of 1.2/kg/day, would need to consume 84g of protein per day... 

Looking at the table below, it states the required amount of protein dependant on the amount of exercise someone does, rather than the type. For example, the needs of an elite endurance athlete is double someone who is training recreationally. And of course, remember that this is a great starting point, but everyone is different and you need to consider your individual lifestyle & unique needs!
